Hotel Alex

First of all, may I introduce you to our property and our family.
My name is Mario Fiorentini. My mother, Velia Marazzi, and myself are the managers of Hotel Alex.
We both work together with great enthusiasm and attachment to the hotel,
trying to answer to all our guests needs and requests.
The small street facing the hotel is a typical Venetian rio (which means river in old Venetian dialect), with delicious boutiques selling handmade Venetian chef-doeuvres: costumes and masks -covering 7 centuries from the 13th to the 19th - and Murano glass articles. This rio was, in the past, a large canal which has been buried to enable the construction of the current artificial street. Two very nice and typical canals, which one can see from some rooms of the hotel, line the rio on the left and on the right.
A few meters from the hotel there is the Chiesa dei Frari, one of the most impressive churches of Venice which construction was ordered by the Franciscans on the XIIIth century.
For those who wish to eat and drink while walking and discovering Venice,
there is a mini-supermarket right in front of the hotel. We promise to try to provide you with the best of Venetian hospitality so that your stay with us is as unforgettable as you dreamt of it...
