The Hotel Alla Salute "da Cici" is in one of the most atmospheric areas of Venice, the east side of Dorsoduro, near the Basilica of Madonna della
Salute, 5 minutes from Saint Mark's Square.

Here poets such as Ezra Pound, Allen Ginsberg and his Village friends met each other. Peggy Guggenheim came here to visit old Cici, owner and establisher of the hotel, haunt of Venetian and European artists, a meeting place for discussions of art and literature.
Near the Accademia Gallery and Palazzo Grassi, the Fondazione Giorgio Cini and the C Rezzonico, which are reachable in a few minutes walking or by boat,
the hotel offers its guests the opportunity to choose the excellent restaurants nearby. There you can taste traditional Venetian cuisine with the famous wines of the Veneto.
The Teatro La Fenice is easily reachable by crossing the Grand Canal and there one enters an area where one finds the best of Italian fashion.

There is a shuttle-boat from the airport "Marco Polo" to Venice. The line is called ALILAGUNA, the name of the stop: Zattere. [www.actv.it ]
It is about 1 hour and half trip.
From the Zattere stop, turn right and after the 3rd bridge turn left along "Fondamenta C Bal".
After a few steps you will see us....
If you prefer there is also a private taxi-boat service that can bring you directly to the entrance of the hotel in the little canal "Rio della Fornace" in half an hour.

From Treviso Airport there is a shuttle-bus to Venice.
At the bus terminal of Venezia "Piazzale Roma" take "vaporetto" line nr. 1 to the Salute stop (nr. 14). [www.actv.it ]

turn right over a little wooden bridge, direction Guggenheim Coll. Just before the second bridge turn left along the Fondamenta Ca' Bala'.

Outside the train station "Santa Lucia" please take the water-bus ("vaporetto")
line nr. 1 to the SALUTE stop , nr. 14. [www.actv.it ]
.....You will see the beautiful Basilica of Madonna della Salute.
Turn right over a little wooden bridge direction Guggenheim Coll.
Follow the street until the next bridge.
Just before the bridge turn left along the Fondamenta Ca' Bala'.
After a short distance you will see us.....
