In 1569, the sculptor Alessandro Vittoria,
a pupil of the great Jacopo Sansovino,
bought some rooms in Calle della Pietà
where he wanted to establish his own atelier
or ”bottega”.Exactly four hundred years later in 1969 Busetti family began their business on
the very same site and opened Hotel Bisanzio,
a small structure with 46 rooms, which they
have been running ever since.
With the eye of an artist searching for the best
place to express his natural inspiration
to the utmost, Alessandro Vittoria chose those
rooms because of their unique qualities,
the very same that anyone visiting the city
today can appreciate. Hotel Bisanzio is located
along Riva degli Schiavoni overlooking
the Bacino of Saint Mark’s and is a short walk
from the cultural and financial heart of the city. Thanks to the public and private transport
network, it is easy to reach the hotel from all
the main arrival points in Venice (Marco Polo
airport, the railway stations, the Tronchetto
Terminal and Piazzale Roma) and it is less than
five minutes’ walk from Saint Mark’s Square
and the Ducal Palace. The hotel is unique
because it is in a very central but peaceful area.
The majority of the rooms overlook an internal
courtyard.Hotel Bisanzio offers its guests surroundings
of exquisite originality. The family pays careful
attention to the smallest details and their
discrete thoughtfulness is the result of those
who have successfully recognised exactly
what makes a stay in Venice unforgettable.
The guests’ day in Venice begins with a refined
breakfast in the sun-lit dining room, on
the terraces overlooking the city roofs or
in the intimate space of one’s own bedroom.
